Lose Weight In Your Hips Only - Not




If you really want to lose weight in your hips you need to get something through you skull, you cannot possibly lose weight in only one area of your body. You can exercise your little heart out and eat right but you will lose weight all over not just in one area.





You can concentrate different exercises to the area of your hips and these exercises will help tone the area more than other areas so it may look like you can just lose weight in your hips but that is not the case. Weight comes off from every where because it is everywhere. You didn't just put the weight on your hips and no where else, you put it on all over.





Start with easy walks around the block then build up to more intense walking. When you get good at that, walk with weights around your ankles and wrists. If your joints bother you, do your walking in a pool. The water will take the load off of your joints and give you some resistance, too. I read in a magazine about these four women who walked off a lot of weight, one of them walked off 250 pounds in two and a half years. It is possible to walk off any amount of extra weight you are carrying.





There are experts who will tell you walking is the best exercise you can do, I tend to agree. There are others who will tell you that intense workouts are the best, and maybe they have a point but I would rather walk than try to do something I wasn't sure of and end up hurting myself.





I do have bad knees so I am doing my walking in a pool. I just started but last week and with diet as part of this whole regimen, I lost four pounds. Now, I'm not going to lose four pounds every week but to start off, that is pretty normal. In a couple of weeks when I am stronger I will probably get on the stationary bike for twenty to thirty minutes before I walk in the pool for twenty to thirty minutes. That would be a nice hour long workout and then I can treat myself to ten minutes in the hot tub to keep things loose.





Losing weight may take a while if you have a lot to lose but I keep saying it doesn't have to be difficult. Human beings are inherently lazy and that is the main reason we are a nation of increasingly obese people. I am not saying that people do not work hard for what they have it is just that the things that used to help us stay fit and trim have today become motorized or roboticized or can be run by remote control.

There is a round one that has been around for a long time but there is a new one one the market that has it's own navigation system and can tell where it has been and where it hasn't. I am thinking about getting one, how pathetic is that? I think we all deserve to be fat if we cannot even get up the energy to vacuum every couple of days. We make things easier for ourselves but that doesn't mean we make things better for ourselves and when you want to lose weight your hips better is easier.

You cannot sustain this or any other type of restrictive diet for more than that, by the way, because your body will start to crave whatever you are not giving it.





Then, when you do start eating it again you will probably binge on it and ruin whatever start you gave yourself in the first place. So, no, or low, carbs for two solid weeks. Then after the two weeks reintroduce them slowly, one at a time. Then keep them in moderation. Doing this will help you reset your glycemic index and shut down the insulin pump that is helping to keep the weight on around your middle.





I tell you what, one of the best things you can do for yourself is to first reduce the stress in your life. Exercise can help with this but if you simplify your life first it will make you feel more like exercising to begin with. Learn some relaxation techniques to do every morning and at select times throughout your day. This can help be one of the quick ways to lose weight.





Stress causes your body to release a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol gathers fat around your middle and keeps it there. Putting you at risk for heart disease and high blood pressure. Reducing the stress in your life reduces the production of Cortisol and therefore, it would stand to reason, reduces the fat around your middle.





Healthy eating is a good way to lose weight, too. You might just be surprised to find out how positively your body responds when you start giving it good healthy food instead of all the processed crap we have available to us today. When doing exercises to lose weight fast you should concentrate at first on increasing your stamina. Several years ago spinning classes became a huge attraction for people who wanted a very intense work out. A word of caution, do not start out exercising by joining a spinning class, you will regret it. Good form is important because, again, you could cause yourself injury and once you get to this point you really do not want an injury to cause you to have to delay your work outs and weight loss.





One way to get the strength training and not spend three hours a day doing it is to adopt a way of lifting weights in which you only do one set for every major muscle group. That's right, one set only. The trick is to choose a weight that is heavy enough and to do that one set slow and controlled. You should be able to count to seven with the effort of lifting the weight and the same on the release of the weight.





The weight should be sufficient that when you are done with the one set of ten to twelve that when you are done you could not lift that weight again if your life depended on it. Exercises To Lose Weight - Make It Fun




You are going to realize that there are hundreds of exercises to lose weight that you can do and all you have to do is figure out which ones you want to make a part of your routine. Now do not knock yoga or Pilate's until you have tried them, they can be very tough work outs. Did you know there are are twelve stages or levels to Pilate's? Yup, it looks a lot easier than it is and if you are not prepared for how difficult it can be it will kick your butt into next week. Seriously.





If I were to pick some exercises from the things I have listed, I think I would start with walking until I could go for about thirty minutes without feeling like I was dying, then maybe graduate to riding a bike until I get the exact same results. Everything I would be doing would be making me stronger and then I think I would find a pool somewhere and start to swim. Swimming is one of the best things you can do because you are in the water and you get the resistance from the water and you also use nearly every muscle in your entire body to do the swim strokes.





When I could swim for thirty minutes non-stop then it would be time for some weight training I think. See it doesn't really matter what you do as long as you do something for thirty minutes everyday of the week. Do something that you like to do at least a couple of times a week that way you will break up the monotony of going to the gym every day.





Working out should be fun, not tedious or boring. If you are bored then you need to spice things up and find something to do that is fun. Maybe there is a nature walk you can take with a group, hey, that would be great this time of year, you could get out and see all the fall colors, do some bird watching, maybe catch some pictures of wildlife if you take your camera along while doing exercises to lose weight.

Do yourself a favor too, while losing the weight, find a good chiropractor. They can make things feel a lot better while you are in transition from being fat to becoming unfat. If the chiropractor you find is also a slash physical therapist, you can even have them show you exercises to begin your work outs with and progress into more intense strengthening exercises.





Do you have kids? Can you get outside to play with them? If you can, then do. It will be good for them and good for you. If you play with your kids it will not seem like a work out but you will be surprised how children's games can be an excellent source of exercise for all concerned.





Run, jump, play tag, hide and seek, any of those games we all used to play with our brothers and sisters and all the neighbor kids out in the front yard when we were young. Who says you have to stop playing just because you get older? Find that inner child again and let them help you lose weight on hips.
