Using a smaller dinner plate can help you to reduce your consumption. Many studies have proven that people eat whatever is on their plate, whether it is large or small portion sizes. If you put less food on a smaller plate, it will still fill the plate, and you will not feel like you are being deprived.
Drink a glass or two of water before you eat each meal. If you are very hungry, you may overeat automatically and so quickly that your brain has no time to inform you that you are full!
